You find Ella moping around the gardens. "Why did Jon get to go to Braavos and not me?" she bursts out, then a moment later, "I hope he's all right."

Ella

"Tell me what's troubling you, Ella."

Ella takes a hesitant step closer. "I remember when you were just 'mother', and not 'my lady'. Sometimes I miss that."

Ella sighs, then forces her head up and spine straight. "I've been praying for patience," she says, "but I don't know if anyone's answered."
Ella bows her head. "I've been praying every day. I want to earn your trust again, my lady. I want to serve [Your Holding]."
Ella relaxes into your embrace. You remember her as a little girl, always bright-eyed and curious and jealous when Jon was taught fencing while she sewed.
