Iron Islands

Home of House Greyjoy, The Iron Islands is one of the regions of the Seven Kingdoms, and it was formerly a sovereign nation under the same name, until the War of Conquest. The Iron Islands are home to a fierce people who call themselves the Ironborn.

The Iron Islands are small, barely-fertile rocks with few safe harbours. The seas around the islands are stormy, frequently wreaking havoc with their considerable force.

Ironman's Bay

the large bay that sits on the western side of Westeros stretching from the North to the Cape of Eagles, where it borders the northern edge of the Westerlands.
Sunset Sea

a sea to the west of Westeros. It borders the Reach, the Westerlands, the North, the Iron Islands and the Riverlands. No one has ever crossed the Sunset Sea to learn what lies on the other side.

the smallest island of the Iron Islands. It lies eight days sail northwest of Great Wyk, surrounded by seal rookeries and ocean.
Old Wyk

one of the islands that make up the Iron Islands. The ironborn consider Old Wyk to be the holiest of all the Iron Islands.
Orkmont

one of the islands that make up the island chain called the Iron Islands.
Pyke

one of the islands that make up the island chain called the Iron Islands. The island is home to a castle, also called Pyke, and the port city of Lordsport.

Nagga's Cradle

a bay along the coast of Old Wyk. It is considered holy due to its proximity to Nagga's Hill, which lies on a hill overlooking the bay.
Nagga's Hill

is located on the island of Old Wyk in the Iron Islands. It is the site of the Grey King's Hall, where in past times, the ironborn chose their kings. It is on a hill overlooking Nagga's Cradle. The ribs of Nagga, a dead sea dragon, rise from the ground like large white trees as wide as a dromond's mast and twice as tall.

Pyke a castle located on the island of the same name, which is one of the eight Iron Islands. It is the seat of House Greyjoy, the rulers of the Iron Islands. 'Pyke' is also the name given to bastards born on the Iron Islands.
