So for Boss Challenges like The Battle of Whispering Wood, The Battle of Riverrun, The Battle of Torrhen's Square, etc., should the names of the variant sub-pages be "[Challenge Name]/[Challenge Name] - [Faction] Alliance/Allegiance", "[Challenge Name]/[Faction] Alliance/Allegiance", or just simply "[Challenge Name]/[Faction]"? (personally, I find the last one more appealing)
I saw your post about the Adventure Awards.. I am looking to help you on this, but perhaps you could help me on how to do this? I'm looking for red gems myself to improve the items I am making for my SS's, and I understand from your schedule level 5 adventure is my best shot, but I would still like to help in passing information. Thanks if you can help me on this.
It's so great that you're willing to help us out. First step will be to create a Username so that you can communicate with other Contributors. It will also mean that you won't see any of the obnoxious adds that Wikia throw about our Wiki. ; )
Most Adventures have all their rewards listed on the page for each relevant Adventure, so it's really just a matter of opening up a page for an Adventure, and then listing the relevant info in the Table on the Adventure Rewards page. I've created templates for each of the Common Rewards and the
Gems, so when listing them, just list them with toe swirly brackets around them (or copy and paste the code from the existing data in the table).
If you get stuck, any of the Wiki Gnomes will be more than happy to help you out. You can post in the Wiki's Forum to ask for help! and/or jump into the Wiki's chat (which you'll see once you get a Username) and someone will see that you're in there and will jump in and offer to help you out. : )
Hi, I would like to take advantage of this "topic" and come with a little bit of criticism. The Adventure Rewards page is an excellent idea, but the rare rewards do not fit in the table size. Furthermore, it is not possible to compare their stats unless you open each of them individually. I came up with a solution to show the rare rewards only in a comparable way, starting with the Weapons from Adventures. Karl-591 helped formatting and finalising the table so that it is now a hands-on help for those looking for specific items.
So: I suggest either deleting the rare rewards from the Adventure Rewards page, or keeping only the item images and not the full reward cards. Otherwise (at least, with Internet Explorer, the page is blinking and only shows one rare reward (the most). Since this page is your baby, Razorgirl, please decide for the best.
First of all, my sincerest apologies for being offline for so long. It really warms my heart to know that everyone has been able to keep the contributions happening while I've been unable to lurk about the place. : )
I've been wanting to get Wikia to allow us to have our Wiki in monobook, which would allow us to have content that is wider than 660 pixels. They allow SOME Wikia wikis, but not all of them. Usually they ask us to site a "need" to have them. Our ability to have tables in our pages without having to have them in pop ups may be the excuse we need.
show/hide/picture can be changed into anything (click a picture/complete_table to show text)
Razorgirl - with Item Enhancement the page about Reincarnation is not correct anymore. Don't know how you want to redo it, what exactly you want the wording and all to be that shows items that are made permanent now carry over. Just thought I would bring it to your attention. :)
I know what you mean. Before I found this game I had mostly swapped to my ipad and away from my laptop - trust me my laptop is getting a workout now. Benefit is working on them is what I do for a living so if mine goes down shouldn't take too long to get back up and I can always use my "work" pcs to do it. :)
K. I changed some of it, but there is no Item Enhancement page yet so I didn't link to it. I will keep an eye out for it and link to it as soon as it's available. I'm not ready to make that big of a page yet.
As you can see from my signature on the forum I really like to make tutorials to help people. Don't know if you want to incorporate these into the wiki or not. Let me know if there is anything with that I can help with.
Ok - I found that page yesterday but it started off with "Seals" and I thought there might need to be a page that just described everything about Item Enhancement so I didn't link to it. I will fix that though
I made some changes to the template so that it'll be used on all house pages instead of one for each house, I added the subtemplates to Candidates for deletion.
I changed the position to relative so that text won't appear behind the header (and be hidden by it), as a result, NOEDITSECTION NOTOC need to appear after the template in order to prevent it from pushing the header downwards.
if NOEDITSECTION NOTOC are used on all great house pages, I'd suggest adding them to the template instead of adding them at each one of the houses' pages (they appear on House Tyrell but are absent from House Stark)
