World Meereen

Meereen is the heart of Slaver's Bay in Essos. The largest of the three slaver cities, Meereen has a population equaling Astapor and Yunkai combined. The city is constructed with similar architecture to its neighbors, but built in bricks of many different colors. Its landscape is dominated by a massive pyramid and a giant temple which is capped by a golden dome. Meereen is unique among the Ghiscari cities in that it is filled with many temples.

Landmarks[]

Daznak's Pit

the biggest and most extravagant of the Fighting Pits in Meereen. The pit's entrance have two bronze statues of warriors, one on either side, forming an archway into the fighting pit. One of the warriors wields an axe, the other a sword, and they are locked in mortal combat. On the bricks near the entrance the names of all the gladiators who have died in the arena are engraved. The pit is made of multicolored bricks.
The Great Pyramid of Meereen

800 feet tall (244 meters) pyramid overlooking Meereen. A huge bronze harpy once stood at the apex. The Great Pyramid had been built as an echo to the Great Pyramid of Ghis.
The Purple Lotus

a seedy winesink by Meereen’s spice market. From the outside the Purple Lotus is a low brick hovel squatting amidst a row of similar hovels in the shadow of the great yellow-and-green pyramid of House of Rhazdar. There is a mark - a purple lotus - painted on the weathered wooden door.
The Temple of the Graces

Meereen's Temple of the Graces is a huge structure topped with golden domes. It lies to the west of the Great Pyramid of Meereen.
Yherizan

a great black pyramid in Meereen and the home to members of the House of Yherizan.
