Background Kings Landing

King's Landing is the capital of the Seven Kingdoms, located in the Crownlands on the east coast of Westeros. It is situated along the Kingsroad at the mouth of the Blackwater Rush and overlooks Blackwater Bay. It is the site of the Iron Throne and the Red Keep, which is the seat of the crown.

Flea Bottom

the slum area of King's Landing. A down-trodden area of town. It has a stench of pigsties and stables, tanner's sheds mixed in with the smell of winesinks and whorehouses.
City Gates

the seven gates of King's Landing. The city is surrounded by a wall, manned by the City Watch, also known as the Gold Cloaks.
Roads
Gold Road

a major road in southern Westeros beginning in King's Landing and ending at Lannisport and Casterly Rock.
Kingsroad

main overland route in Westeros and extends for almost two thousand miles. From the northernmost end at Castle Black, at the Wall, it runs south to the capital, King's Landing and continues on through the Stormlands to Storm's End.
The Rosby

a road in the Crownlands running from the Iron Gate at King's Landing through Rosby to Duskendale. After Rosby, the road to Duskendale passes apple orchards and fields of barley and becomes rutted
Roseroad

a major road in southern Westeros which begins near King's Landing and extends southwest through the Reach to Oldtown.
The Three Hills
Aegon's High Hill

the tallest hill within the city of King's Landing. Atop the hill lies the Red Keep, the great fortress that dominates the city.
Rhaenys' Hill

one of the three hills that dominate the city of King's Landing. Atop the hill lies the Dragonpit, a cavernous building that the Targaryens used to house their dragons within.
Visenya's Hill

one of the three hills that lie within the city of King's Landing. Atop Visenya's hill lies the Great Sept of Baelor. At its base lies a cluster of small streets.
Buildings
The Broken Anvil

an inn in King's Landing. It is located near the walls of the city, within site of the Gate of the Gods.
Chataya's Brothel

an upscale brothel located behind Rhaenys' Hill in King's Landing. There is a secret passageway that runs from the brothel to a nearby stable.
Dragonpit

a huge, cavernous building that sits atop Rhaenys' Hill in King's Landing. The Targaryens would keep their dragons within the building. When living dragons still nested beneath the dome light would shine through the windows at night. The pit's huge dome has collapsed within and its bronze doors have been sealed for more than a century. It is a ruin, blackened by fire.
Eel Alley Inn

a rundown inn in King's Landing. Its location is well away from watchful eyes.
The Great Sept of Baelor

the center of religious worship for the Seven and the seat of the High Septon.
The Guildhall of the Alchemists

the center of the Alchemists' Guild. It is located at the foot of Visenya's Hill in King's Landing. The Guildhall is made of black marble, a warren of twists and turns.
Littlefinger's Brothels

the many brothels owned by Lord Petyr Baelish in King's Landing.
The Red Keep

a castle and the home of the kings of the Seven Kingdoms. It located in King's Landing, the capital of Westeros, where it sits on Aegon's High Hill.
